You know Southport, the pier at sunset, the Victorian gardens in Churchtown, the quiet charm of tree-lined streets that stretch from Central Southport to Ainsdale. It's a town with real character, from the British Lawnmower Museum to the Cathedral's thousand-year history. But here's the thing: the best local events and community moments get buried in social media noise. You end up scrolling endlessly instead of actually enjoying your town. The City Brief cuts through that. Every week, we hand-pick what matters, the events, openings, and stories worth your time. No algorithm, no fluff. Just Southport, distilled.
